We are pleased to invite you to our new joint celebration of two historic days in American history. In addition to our normal commemoration of the adoption of the flag of the United States, we will also be recognizing the day in which 13 colonies claimed their independence from England, an event which eventually led to the formation of the United States.
Our featured speaker at the luncheon will be Master Gunnery Sergeant Arthur “Artie” Allen III, United States Marine Corps - Retired. Artie’s presentation will include origins of Flag Day and Independence Day, and the significance of our flag's symbolism. Read Artie's bio...
Entertainment will be provided by the California Note Catchers, a nonprofit women’s barbershop harmony chorus.
We’ll enjoy a buffet style lunch at approximately 12:15 pm, with ham, roast turkey, rosemary potatoes, green beans almandine, salads, desserts, and beverages. This is an indoor event with ample free parking on both sides of the center.
