| SDCERA Will Pay March Retiree Benefit Payments Early Given the unprecedented societal and business uncertainties caused by the continuing spread of the Coronavirus, SDCERA has taken the prudent step to process retiree and beneficiary monthly benefit payments one week ahead of schedule. Retirees and beneficiaries who receive their monthly retirement benefit via direct deposit should receive their payment by Monday, March 23. Paper checks for those who receive them and Members’ earnings statements should be mailed on Monday, March 23. Accelerating the benefit payment schedule is consistent with SDCERA’s California Constitutional mandate to administer the retirement plan in a manner that will assure prompt delivery of benefits to Members and beneficiaries, and it has no adverse impact on SDCERA’s Trust Fund or operations.
